Reflection
Objective
The objective of this assignment was to ”author and publish an original media property that presages a prospective future aspect or dimension of mobility.” (Vogt, n.d.). The assignment gave us the options to ”present a potential solution to an existing problem, predict a transformation of practice, scope an opportunity, specify a needed technology, describe a new application, or employ any other structured introduction to a desired future” (Vogt, n.d.).

Reflection
I was particularly interested in identifying a problem or need in education, and then working on innovating a solution to that problem using ed tec. I was keenly interested in the challenges learners of a second or foreign language face with the speaking skill. I had an intense experience researching facts, synthesizing knowledge, analyzing possible solutions, stretching my imagination, playing with different predictions and trying to determine which ones make more sense, experimenting with different ed tec tools, and creating an engaging presentation to convey my vision. My creativity was expanded and my understanding of the power mobile technologies have and their possible future impact on education grew tremendously. This was a perspective-changing assignment because it convinced me that mobile technologies (both software and hardware) can actually provide complete and meaningful learning experiences. The dependence on mobile technologies, especially in education, will definitely massively increase in the future. The consequences of that is a topic I still enjoy pondering on from time to time.

Goal Alignment
This artifact aligns with Goal 3 since it constituted a stepping stone to enhancing my innovation and ability to identify areas of true need in education and most importantly, conceiving practical solutions to fulfilling those needs.

Metaphor Alignment
It fits within my metaphor since editing is mainly about identifying problems and suggesting solutions, which is what I accomplished in this project. Editors generally also have to predict how a certain stylistic choice, for example, or a certain structure of a story or character will be received by the audience in order to determine whether it is going to work or not. This predictive aspect is an essential part of this project.
